The frame is quartersawn oak.

The inner wooden panel features a wonderful

arts and crafts era inspired owl in

tree with full moon motif.
The inlay has eye catching teal opalescent

and iridescent mica infused characteristics.

A unique splayed shape accentuates the wood frame.

Our wood carvings are created in multiple stages.

They are inlaid with a finely crushed & pigmented

mica stone that is handmixed within an epoxy binder.

The inlay mix cures to a butter smooth almost stone like feel.

Each piece is unique to itself, no two are completely identical.

The mica flow will always vary from one offering to the next.

At times a piece may have deep iridescent and reflective characteristics.

Wood Finish Colors, Tonalities & Grain Patterns Will Vary.

    - Each Offering From The Mission Guild Studio is a Work Of Art -

Our Wood Finish: Our wood finish has historic Arts & Crafts Era color tones & character. No two selections are completely identical. Due to the nature of our work, natural wood grain patterning and finish tonality will vary from piece to piece. The age of the wood used, grain and natural porosity can all influence color tonality throughout a piece.

Our Inlays: The inlay begins with a multi layer wood carving followed by a natural Mica infused inlay. The crushed Mica is carefully selected, weighed and then combined with a superior and durable resin. This flowing mixture is then slowly poured into the wood carving. Shortly after the pour occurs the mica mixture is then cautiously manipulated with fire and heat in order to create unique atmospheric effects within the design. Following the pour the mica mixture will then cure and slowly harden over a few days; it is later sanded down in stages using multiple grits of abrasive until it becomes as smoth as butter but as strong as stone. The finished Mica inlay has the look and feel of rich marble or granite.

Each inlay selection is unique to itself... no two are identical.
